Overview
St. Luke's Health System Quality Outcomes team is seeking an individual to join our team as a Quality Program Specialist supporting the Supply Chain, Clinic Nursing and Ancillairy Services departments.
We are seeking an organized, flexible, and communicative individual to grow. In partnership with our team, you will:
- Coordinate the removal of recalled medical supplies in a timely manner
- Track and report data in relevant databases
- Teach new employees about your programs
- Provide reports on your program performance
- Communicate program risks to leadership
The position is full-time and exempt. Occasional evening and Saturday work is expected. We are a hybrid department so team members will work from home and the office.
Our team is in Boise and Twin Falls, but candidates working in other St. Luke's facilities are encouraged to apply. We are seeking the right person regardless of where you live.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates Supply Chain, Clinic Nursing, and Ancillary Services program reporting.
- Coordinates collection, review, and data entry of outcomes.
- Identifies improvement opportunities
- Recommends performance goals.
- Collaborates with multiple departments and managers to achieve program objectives.
- Solves simple issues and problems. Escalates more complex issues to leadership.
- Participates in improvement projects and relevant committees.
Responsibilities
- Possesses and applies working knowledge of subject matter in quality discipline; decision-making is limited in independence and requires oversight; assists in delivering on program objectives.
- Coordinates quality program initiatives and leads teams in program activities using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Coordinates collection, review, and reporting of outcomes and processes relevant to the specific quality program.
- Assists staff and leaders in measuring and analyzing performance within the scope of the specific quality program, identifying improvement opportunities, and establishing measurable performance goals.
- Collaborates with medical staff, employees, leaders, and teams to deliver on program objectives.
- Solves simple issues and problems within the scope of the specific quality program. Escalates more complex issues to department leadership or collaborates with peers.
- As a subject matter point-of-contact, provides evidence-based and regulation-compliant consultation and advice as appropriate to employees, teams, leaders, and medical staff within the scope of the specific quality program.
- Is actively involved in improvement efforts that impact the specific quality program, particularly those that support system strategic initiatives.
- Participates in professional development opportunities to enhance subject matter expertise in area of focus and other relevant areas/disciplines.
- Participates in evaluation and prioritization of projects, develops and executes action plans, and accepts assignments based on organization and department need.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Experience to include one of the following:
- High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant skills/experience; or
- Associate's degree with 2 years relevant skills/coursework/experience; or
- Bachelor's degree with relevant skills/coursework/experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing time-sensitive work
