Responsible for the direction and leadership related to overall planning, development and evaluation of quality improvement with Nursing and Patient Care Services. Leads efforts to assure nurse-sensitive and other indicators are meeting established benchmarks. Provide input to and leadership for operational decisions and overall program development for Nursing.
Work with facility leadership to identify and monitor key processes and patient outcomes.
Create and operationalize an appropriate clinical program related to quality for nursing services.
Provide leadership in collaborative efforts with other directors and members of the leadership team to systematically plan, organize and implement quality related initiatives.
Identifies, reviews, and prioritizes opportunities for improvement plans related to nursing sensitive indicators.
Review and update nursing policy related to nursing quality. Develops strategic plans related to nursing quality across the enterprise.
Provide direction for nursing operational leaders and nursing professional development on appropriate action planning.
Represent nursing services in quality related forums to present quality data, improvement initiatives and other quality related activities.
Collaborate with Nursing Excellence team members offering support for recognition programs related to quality data.
Oversees all personnel responsible for inputting data into National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators.
Offers expert professional advice on quality related programs and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support overall efforts.
Work closely with Registered Nurse Residency programs across the enterprise and support their evidence-based practice projects and studies.
Ability to evaluate data and translate it into easy-to-understand formats for staff.
