As a Licensed Vocational Nurse II, you will perform responsible for performing moderately complex and/or specialized patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a clinician or Registered Nurse (RN) to ensure that patients receive appropriate care. You will also be responsible for performing operational duties as required under the supervision of the site administrator or designee.
Supports Quality Improvement
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily investigations- due to injuries, infections
Maintain policies and regulations
Assist with grievances - compiling and submitting
Maintain up to date on licenses
Direct patient to proper exam/treatment area and prepare patient for examinations and other procedures. Assists in the transportation of patients and patient flow
Obtain records and report vital signs and any other pertinent patient information to the RN or clinician
Administer medication, perform various patient tests and instruct patients on procedural preparations under the supervision of the clinician or RN
Notify pharmacies of new prescriptions and authorizations of new refills as ordered by the clinician
Collect, label, and transport various specimens to appropriate destinations
Maintain and clean exam/treatment areas and medical equipment
Maintain logs, records of medical procedures, and inventories of supplies
Perform telephone screening
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program
Active, unrestricted LVN license from the state of California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain at the time of hire
I.V. and blood withdraw certified
Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification or at time of hire
Pediatric advanced life support (PALS) certification or at time of hire
1+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working as an LVN/LPN
Experience working Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program
California Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
