POSITION SUMMARY:
The Trauma Program Coordinator provides support for Trauma, Emergency Preparedness, Admit/Transfer Center, and overall regional program quality and growth.Â
The Trauma Program Coordinator will:
Coordinate and facilitate the regional trauma, program in collaboration with SJRMC internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure the quality and growth of the trauma, program through robust QI, QA, and process improvement activities.
Support the development of relationships between the medical center and other health care organizations, locally and regionally. Â Â Develops contacts and appropriate processes to facilitate and maintain working arrangements that create opportunities for the delivery and coordination of care in the service area.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery on an ongoing basis and reports to the respective director.
The Trauma Program Coordinator is responsible for abstracting trauma charts and performance improvement review. Â

Qualifications
Required:
Completion of an accredited RN program, associate degree (ASN)
RN License in the State of Idaho required prior to start date. Â
TNCC and ACLS required within two years of hire.
BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
Requires proficient use and knowledge of PC applications (EHR, WORD, EXCEL) and the ability to operate a computer terminal to access and make entries in patient account records.
Ability to review/audit/abstract medical records.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to be respectful, tactful and persuasive in communications. Â
Strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to cope with stressful situations with a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
Preferred:
3-5 years' experience in an acute care setting preferred (specific areas to include ER and/or Critical Care).
