The Quality Management (QM) Patient Safety Manager (PSM) functions collaboratively with the Clinical Risk Manager and quality management team. The Patient Safety Manager functions as the lead implementer of patient safety policies and activities developed by the National Center for Patient Safety (NCPS). The individual is the facility's key person to help build and implement systems and promote the culture of safety within the medical center and for VA patients in all healthcare settings.
