You Will Be Responsible For:
Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth's core values of Inclusiveness, Quality and Excellence, Community Well-Being, High Ethical Standards, and stewardship.
Schedules and conducts retrospective medical record reviews and provides written reports of service area findings internally monthly to HPR (Hospital & Professional Relations) leadership and staff.
Ensures accuracy in data collection, data entry and data analysis related to medical record review and donor potential.
Acts as a resource for the medical record review process, data collection and data interpretation.
Provides initial orientation to the review process and ongoing communication and training with OurLegacy Hospital & Professional Relations staff.
Collects, analyzes, maintains, and reports review summaries from individual hospitals within established timelines and as needed to HPR team members, in accordance with OPO regulatory requirements.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with hospital health information management and information technology staff members.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient and donor/recipient information.
Maintains knowledge and understanding of OurLegacy Quality Improvement Indicators, OPO and donor hospital regulatory requirements– all of which are directly related to the performance of medical record reviews.
May perform other data report building or related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the Hospital & Professional Relations team.
Attends/participates in OurLegacy key annual events, such as Remembrance Day.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED:
• Ability to evaluate processes utilizing a systematic approach
• Ability to ensure quality and accuracy of hospital-specific and service area-wide data reports • Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
• Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Advanced Excel report building
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Associates degree in Medical Records, Health Information Management, Nursing, or Health Administration
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or Health Administration
• Experience with multiple EMR systems, i.e. Epic, Cerner, Horizon, Sovera, Sunrise, McKesson • Two years of experience in a hospital setting
• Previous OPO experience; especially in the performance of Medical Record Reviews

OurLegacy is designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as the only organ procurement organization (OPO) in east central Florida and is accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) as a tissue recovery agency. OurLegacy's scope of operations extends to each of the following hospitals within the AdventHealth's Hospital system: Altamonte, Apopka, Celebration, Daytona Beach, Deland, East Orlando, Fish Memorial, Kissimmee, New Smyrna Beach, Orlando, Palm Coast, Waterman and Winter Park. Additionally, CMS has designated OurLegacy to provide organ and tissue donation services to all nonAdventHealth acute care and critical access hospitals and free-standing emergency rooms in the following counties: Brevard, Flagler, Indian River, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter and Volusia. The Quality Data Coordinator - OurLegacy establishes processes and reports methodologies to provide accurate and concise medical record review data for the purpose of determining donor potential and assessing hospital performance via objective statistical measurements. The Quality Data Coordinator - OurLegacy addresses regulatory requirements for the OurLegacy Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), provides a foundation for hospital strategic planning and serves to improve the performance of hospital donation systems. This position is responsible for ensuring comprehensive report coverage of over forty-five hospitals throughout the tencounty service area. The coordinator provides orientation and ongoing training to staff, conducts chart auditing, and ensures reports are completed and shared with hospital partners on a monthly schedule. The Quality Data Coordinator - OurLegacy develops and maintains close working relationships with hospital health information management and information technology staff to facilitate reporting requirements in a timely fashion. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
