The Manager Quality manages the operations of the department of quality and/or care coordination to include the design, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of innovative, multidisciplinary approaches to quality, safety, systems improvement, utilization management, and outcomes measurement for clinical performance improvement incorporating the mission, vision, and core values of the organization and regulatory compliance.
WHAT IS EXPECTED (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Supervises staff; oversees care coordinator and/or outcomes management for a defined patient population; and develops, designs and recommends strategies or activities intended to improve performance in clinical quality, patient safety and regulatory compliance. Collaborates in the design and integration of information systems designed to capture data required to analyze and continuously improve clinical care, service and resource utilization; analyzes and interprets data related to quality and utilization management issues; collaborates with other entities to develop, implement and monitor resource management strategies to ensure seamless cost-effective movement of patient to the required level of care; and plans and conducts staff development programs to improve effectiveness.
The ideal Manager Quality candidate has knowledge of accreditation standards, utilization management and outcomes measurement; verbal and written communication skills; ability to develop and implement performance improvement and patient safety measures; able to comprehend and integrate information system capabilities; skill in establishing and maintaining collaborative and effective working relationships; and oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary processes.
