Alder Bowman has been retained to conduct a search for a Vice President of Human Resources on behalf of The Methodists Hospitals, a 2,000 FTE, multi-location health system in Northwest Indiana with a total budget of approximately $350 million. This organization is a respected regional “Best Places to Work” award winner on a trajectory towards being the region’s destination healthcare provider.
The VPHR reports to the Chief Executive Officer, leads 16 professionals and manages an approximate $32 million budget. Functional responsibilities include benefits administration, compensation, compliance, employee retention, organizational development, and talent acquisition. Additionally, lead labor relations with Service Employees International Union (SEIU).
To provide executive leadership and direction in the development, communication and implementation of Methodist Hospitals' strategic HR direction to optimize people, structure process and culture, with the goal of achieving desired business results; to manage all Methodist Hospitals assigned departments and staff; to partner with staff to take operational, clinical, financial and satisfaction metrics to a higher level; and promotes a team oriented culture that is committed to sharing, continuous learning, mentoring, grooming, professional growth and development.
