Become a physician leader! The Department of Veteran's Affairs, Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) is seeking a full-time AP & CP board certified pathologist to lead its Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (P&LM) Service Line.
Ideal candidate: successfully completed a residency in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, be AP/CP board certified, be licensed in at least one state and have at least five years of practice experience with at least one year at a medium sized or larger hospital. Additionally, a track record of demonstrated leadership in Pathology and/or Laboratory Medicine, as well as demonstrated success in managing CAP and other regulatory requirements, is required.
Provide leadership and supervision to a staff of 70 FTE regarding Service Line operations, policies, and practices.
Provide a wide range of onsite services in all areas of the general laboratory.
The Department processed and interpreted over 6,600 surgical cases, 2,000 cytology cases, 60 bone marrows and 15 autopsy cases last year.
Clinical laboratory operates 24/7 and reported out 1.5 million tests last year.
