The Assistant Nurse Manager s is responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager in the implementation of the mission, vision, philosophy, core values and standards of practice for all staff on their unit. The ANM serves as a resources to promote autonomous, effective, safe, cost efficient, and compassionate quality care. Facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and other disciplines, also with the healthcare community. The ANM is accountable for the acute care environment and must create learning experiences that are open, respectful and promote the sharing of expertise. This ability to enhance the practice environment is critical to the recruitment and retention of all staff.
7-10 years of direct experience in the field as a licensed NJ RN and a BSN with 2- years experience in a nursing acute care leadership role or must be enrolled in a BSN program in NLN accredited school. Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS and ACLS required. Critical Care experience and National certification preferred. Unit Specific Certification will be required.
