Surgery Service line Administrator is responsible for aligning surgical services with RWJBH system mission and vision. Specific responsibilities include service line strategic planning, operations, finances, program growth, development and execution.
Master in Healthcare Administration, Master in Business Administration or equivalent.
5+ years of experience leading and managing hospital-based clinical departments and/or services
Extensive expertise in healthcare finance and operations
Ability to establish meaningful relationships with Service Line stakeholders and ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the System
Deep understanding of the Service Line and Market dynamics, including identification of potential Market Disruptors
Ability to develop strategy and grow programs that are consistent with the System Strategic Plan and Budget and focus on building a more integrated system
Focus on patient outcomes and ability to track and work with clinical team to set clear expectations for quality priorities
Experience in achieving financial and operational results
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the system to decrease silo thinking and promote system focus and support unique needs of each region
