Masters degree in Health or Business Administration required and B.S.degree in clinical, biological or clinical science. Minimum of 5 years of experience in managementcapacity. Must be well organized with problem solving abilities. Employeerelations experience with strong leadership skills required. Leads thedevelopment, implementation, and continuous improvement of care delivery modelsand services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Leads the fiscal oversight of allocated resources in order to optimize efficient and effectiveutilization. Provides effective and coordinated leadership of patient carewithin specified clinical patient service areas. Directs oversight functionsresponsible for compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and 3rd party payerregulations and standards. Develops an annual operating budget for assignedareas that encompasses both current and future operational demands.Participates in the strategic planning structures and processes withadministration, medical team members, and clinical leadership. Assures thatappropriate communication occurs with leadership and clinical team membersrelated to hospital operations. Promotes the development and use ofevidence-based, outcome-driven treatment methods, which are deemed'best-practice' through comprehensive benchmarking of care provided to patientpopulations of comparable severity and clinical risk. Assures that an effectiveprogram is in place to measure, assessand improve the quality of nursing care delivered to patients. Maintainsflexibility in the business unit which allows for easy transition of resourcesto respond to changes in practice or demand in the health care market.
