The neuroimaging analyst will work with research faculty and imaging scientists to develop and implement analysis protocols for imaging research data. The ideal candidate will be able to independently conduct analysis on complex, multi-subject, multi-level imaging studies. The analyst will be responsible for imaging data post-processing activities, such as (a) under minimal supervision, exercise discretion and independent judgment to develop and implement brain imaging analysis protocols for specific research studies involving older adults with and without cognitive impairment, including mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease; (b) conduct appropriate analyses for complex, multi-subject, multi-level MRI studies; and (c) provide reports on analyses to principal investigator and assist with identifying any problems in methodology or results. Once independent in the role, the imaging analyst will be expected to train staff and trainees in imaging analyses. The position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance research skills working with an interdisciplinary team of more than 20 faculty, staff, and trainees as well as enhance professional development skills, including co-authoring conference abstracts and peer-review publications.
Conduct appropriate analyses for complex, multi-subject, multi-level MRI studies.
Requires familiarity with variety of imaging software programs and operating systems (Linux, UNIX, etc.).
Requires skills in structural morphometric analysis, multivariate analysis, biostatistical analysis approaches to the research data, in addition to other analytical approaches (which are continually being developed/updated).
Provide reports on analyses to principal investigator and assist with identifying any problems in methodology, results, etc.
Contribute to research publications
Participate in reviewing and editing materials for publication
Conduct literature and library searches and oversee data collection programs
Develop reports of results, graphs, charts, tables, etc. of research findings
Assist principal investigator in preparation of grant applications and contract proposals
