SSM Health's DePaul Health Center Vice President of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer will serve as the executive physician leader for the hospital executive team and will manage and support the ongoing functions of the medical staff. The Vice President of Medical Affairs(VPMA) is responsible for leading a culture of patient safety and physician satisfaction while providing leadership in the areas of utilization review, case management, medical staff regulatory compliance and medical informatics, as well as serves as liaison to the network teams. The VPMA will be responsible for advancing the quality and safety of care delivered at SSM Health DePaul Hospital and improve clinical outcomes, working towards the achievement of a 5-star CMS rating in the next 5 years, strengthening relationships in the community with a skilled nursing facilities and other post-acute care facilities and to partner with SSM Health Medical Group to redesign and bolster primary care offerings in the region.
A minimum of 5 years progressive medical management experience as a hospital CMO, CQO or VPMA. Experience in a highly matrixed environment with distributed leadership. M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution and BC/BE in specialty Advanced management degree is preferred
