The Infection Preventionist is a professional who demonstrates technical skills and theoretical knowledge, as it relates to the identification and control of hospital acquired infections. This knowledge will be applied to healthcare workers, patients, and visitors in the Grady Health System.
Bachelor's Degree of Nursing (BSN) and five years hospital experience or Bachelors degree in another health related field and eight years hospital experience
Demonstrated leadership experience is required
Registered Nurse must have current Georgia nursing License. Current professional licensure in Georgia for other applicants if required
Infection prevention and control is strongly preferred
Experience in infection prevention and control is strongly preferred.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire within job as an Infection Preventionist
Must demonstrate the ability to function with all professional disciplines in an appropriate and effective manner
