| The Vice President of Medical Outcomes reports directly to the EVP Quality/Safety and Chief Integration Officer. The Vice President of Medical Outcomes will be a thought leader who will act as a facilitator to ensure the process of successful development and deployment of the Quality plan. This role will also act as an active integrator and coordinator to effectively execute the Quality and Safety strategy by integrating patient safety and quality functions and coordinating their activities.|
The Vice President of Medical Outcomes will be accountable to ensure successful development and deployment of the WellStar Quality and Safety strategy to all physicians across the continuum of care. This includes all care sites, service lines, WellStar Medical Group, WellStar Clinical Partners, Accountable Care Organization, home Health, post-acute care, physician peer review, and more. The Vice President of Medical Outcomes will provide support and resources by the direction of the WellStar Quality Steering Committee and WellStar Executive Leadership team.
The VP of Medical Outcomes will have primary strategic and operational responsibility for physician quality and safety. The Vice President of Medical Outcomes will support Clinical Regulatory Adherence, Quality, Patient Safety, infection control, and Medication Safety. In conjunction with these leaders, he/she will continue to improve quality outcomes to provide highly reliable, safe, care to the patients of WellStar.

- Graduated from an accredited medical school. Master’s degree in related field. Lean and/or Six Sigma, and Project Management experience preferred.
- Board certification in a medical or surgical specialty. Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
- Seven years of administrative experience. Five years of work experience in healthcare quality and improvement that includes: performance management, process improvement, patient safety, risk management, and customer service.
