BayCare, a leading Florida community-based health care system, currently has an opportunity available for a Patient Safety Coordinator at St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa. The Patient Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing patient safety initiatives impacting clinical and operational processes throughout the organization. Specific focus will be toward the review and reduction of medical errors and other factors that contribute to unintended patient harm. Works collaboratively with administrators, managers, educators, and physicians to identify and enhance patient safety and clinical practices which produce quantitative and qualitative results for both internal and external customers. Provides on-going support, instruction and facilitation to all aspects of BayCare Health System efforts to meet and exceed patient safety standards.
Requirements include a Florida RN license, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and five years of clinical experience, with two years in a leadership role. Pediatric experience and CPHQ are strongly preferred.
