Management of all Organization fiscal operations includes the following:
Working with the Leadership Team, Management Team, Board of Directors and other designated staff in the development, administration and management of agency budget and grant-related funding proposals. You will develop, plan, monitor, and analyze existing and proposed fiscal programs, making recommendations for improvements/new programs.
Manage all accounting functions and systems. Analyze and monitor cash flow needs and support all treasury related functions while maintaining and managing all relationships with financial organizations including banks, lending institutions, and investment related organizations.
Implement appropriate internal controls and mechanisms to help ensure appropriate safeguarding of Organization assets and the proper recording of all financial related transactions. Coordinate Organization’s annual independent financial audit and support any fiscal audits by third party organizations.
You are responsible for developing financial procedures as necessary, for writing and updating Financial Procedures Manual, and for providing support to long term strategic, operational, and financial planning. You will staff Finance, Audit, and Compliance and Investment committees of the Board and must be available for the Executive Committee and general board meetings as deemed appropriate. You will participate as a member of the PPOSBC 401K Committee which oversees the affiliate's retirement plan.
Management of all Revenue Cycle, Finance/Administrative Reporting, Risk Management and Compliance includes the following:
You must prepare financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, PPFA, and the Board of Directors, while ensuring that financial and statistical reports are accurately compiled and presented on a timely basis. You will oversee all accounting functions and ensure that all accounting operations and reports are carried out following generally accepted accounting principles. This also includes monitoring/overseeing patient accounting, billing, and reporting and ensuring compliance with regulations of both governmental and private funding sources.
Provide leadership and management of service cost identification and reporting; as well as productivity standards development and reporting. Also provide leadership in all aspects of Revenue Cycle management including intake/registration, charge capture, billing and collections. You will give direction for pricing policy and rate setting in compliance with established regulations and rules while providing leadership and management of contracting with health plans and managed care organizations including IPA and Medical Groups.
The Vice President of Finance will directly supervise mid-level management employees in the Finance, Accounting, and Revenue Cycle departments and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a minimum of 5 years of management level accounting and budgeting experience; and a minimum of three years of leadership experience.
