AAMC is seeking a Claims Manager to assist the Director of Risk and Patient Safety with activities associated with potential and asserted claims. The claims manager will serve as a primary contact and project lead in the administration of claims, lead closed claim reviews, assist in the designing of risk management programs, and directly supervise the paralegal.
5+ years of recent experience in an acute healthcare system setting
5+ years of recent medical malpractice claims management experience
Juris Doctor degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
Evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills
