The Clinical Services Executive (CSE) is responsible for all aspects of the operation of clinical services. The position also provides strategic direction in support of the organization’s long term strategic plan. The CSE develops and leads the clinical team in meeting the goals and objectives for hospice and client services. This position is a member of the Pathways’ Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) and supervises clinical Directors and other staff. This person works collaboratively with the Quality/Compliance Director to ensure quality and that all required compliance standards, guidelines and requirements are met. The CSE works collaboratively across all areas of Pathways. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides management direction to the functional areas, responsible for care management; provides direction to staff in carrying out their individual responsibilities; applies regulations, policies, operational procedures, and objectives; reviews operations in assigned area to ensure high level of quality is consistent with organizational standards.
Provides strategic direction and leads the team in meeting the overall objectives of the organization in support of the long term strategic plan of Pathways.
Develops and implements clinical goals and objectives within the organization and externally with all partners.
Demonstrates ability to manage change and organizational design.
Provides supervision for all Clinical managers and ensures all budgets and resource allocations are met.
Promotes effective communication interface, acts as liaison to other departments and the Clinical staff to facilitate information-sharing, collaborative problem-solving and adequate provision of support services.
Promotes decision-making in area of responsibility.
Demonstrates ability to analyze needs and promote growth and innovation as it relates to census growth, growing the department, and services and projects that will set the Pathways clinical area apart from other hospices in our region.
Ability to see the big picture and provide strategic direction in the areas of regulations, processes and policies.
Recruits and develops all team members and promotes a team effectiveness culture and environment. Delegates appropriately and holds team members accountable.
Participates in the organization’s quality assessment and performance improvement (QAPI) program at a departmental or agency-wide level.
Demonstrates understanding of the agency’s mission and values through behaviors which supports and models Pathways’ standards.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
RN with active license in Colorado.
Bachelor’s degree required in health-related field; Masters Degree preferred.
At least five years of clinical management experience in health field; hospice experience preferred.
Available for meetings and other obligations on nights and weekends, if required.
Demonstrates excellent supervision and managerial skills to manage staff, issues and resolve problems with clarity and tact.
Ability to interpret and implement managerial, human resource, and governmental regulations and other applicable standards.
Ability to make well reasoned decisions, ability to communicate effectively across all parts of the organization.
Valid Colorado driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Must be able to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and analyze data that may be complex.
