Dental Practice Administrator needed full-time in a well-established group practice. This position requires that the individual have strong abilities in management of systems and people. POSITION SUMMARY Looking for a team leader that is a strategic thinker, has strong leadership skills, is highly organized, problem solver. Responsible for managing practice operations which includes oversight of direct patient care, open communication with providers and staff, staff management, systems management and financial management for practice operations. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS •Ensures the delivery of quality services in area of patient care. Acts as a resource to clinical staff, dental staff, and administrative staff. •Statistical reports and recommendations for maintaining practice health. •Provide internal and external marketing. •Assist the doctors with assessment of the need for system enhancement, staffing needs, new capital equipment or patient care recommendations. •Develops and implements procedures to improve the quality and quantity of work flow and operation efficiency. Ensure policies are communicated and administered consistently throughout the practices. •Monitors practice patient service systems and the staff for adherence to agreed on systems. •Assist the doctors in identifying and investigating complaints and issues of patients, and staff. Can recommend and assist in implementation of initiatives to resolve such issues and follows up with appropriate individuals to ensure that such issues have been satisfactorily resolved. •Actively participates in patient care activities and services as appropriate to support the continuity of services in the offices. •Responsible for training and evaluation programs for all staff. •Provides overall supervision, HR, assigns work, and delegates responsibility to all staff. Ensures all aspects of the dental and business practices are done in a safe environment. •Schedules all staff including dental associates, works closely with the department leads to insure that clinic dental assistant, business office personnel, and dental hygienist scheduling fulfills the needs of the practice. Monitor daily staffing and make necessary adjustments in work assignments as needed. •Approves office staff payroll, monitoring time and attendance according to set employee schedule. Approves leave requests and maintains personnel records. •May assist the doctor owner with the correction of staff appropriately when required. •Monitors and maintains all practice systems to ensure they are meeting the standards and expectations of the practice. •Monitors practice statistics to ensure that goals are being achieved. •Communicates with the doctors consistently and comprehensively to ensure that all needs are being met. •Maintains a daily, weekly and monthly task list and provides this to the doctors. •Understands and can train staff on the use of the practice management software. •Understands and can train staff on all of the systems of the practice. •Maintains all personnel manuals and training tools. SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE •Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills •Excellent planning and organizational skills •Knowledge of dental terminology preferred •Excellent customer service skills •Proficient in using MS Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of databases and electronic communications. •Skilled in professional development and supervision of others.
