San Bernardino County seeks an experienced financial leader who is a strategic thinker, able to develop a vision and chart a course of action to be the next Chief Financial Officer for Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, one of the Inland Empire's leading hospitals. The ARMC Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has primary responsibility for directing the hospital's financial operations and overseeing the preparation of the department's annual budget totaling nearly 600 million dollars. The CFO will also direct the hospital's diverse fiscal services, ensuring compliance with complex hospital financing, accounting, and regulatory requirements as well as the ongoing financial solvency and stability of the hospital. As part of the executive team, the CFO will report to the Hospital Director/CEO and participate in the development of department wide policy with specific responsibility for fiscal policy and procedures. Additionally, the CFO will direct and exercise fiscal oversight for services that have impact on revenue streams and funding as well as information systems and health information management, managed care, social services, and case management.
The ideal background for this position consists of a combination of education and experience commensurate with its responsibilities and should include three years of senior or executive level finance or administrative experience in an acute care hospital or large and complex healthcare organization. A Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, health, public or business administration, or a closely related field is preferred.

Expertise in financial administration with in-depth understanding of public/non-profit hospital fiscal operations, funding sources, revenue streams, healthcare revenue cycle management, Medicare/Medicaid and non-governmental reimbursement, and healthcare reform mandates;
Compassion as leader and value and prioritize quality and service to patients as well as be able to achieve goals through influence, collaboration, and cooperation;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to maintain and grow personal relationships, not only with peers, but with all levels of staff.
