JOB SUMMARY This financial analyst position is to support the Health System's month end close, budgeting, financial forecasting, managerial finance needs, and capital efforts at the Hospital/Division level.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES: Maintains advanced knowledge of the financial computer systems and serves as a resource to others ,leadership and finance staff, in their understanding of the transaction processing and reporting from these systems. 10 %
Completes routine and ad hoc monthly financial analysis and reporting. Proactively develops new tools and reports to meet customer and departmental needs. Provides recommendations that enhance net revenue or provide opportunity to improve expense utilization. 25 %
Support the continuous planning process by developing the pro formas, schedules, analysis, and recommendations necessary for leaders to make decisions regarding resource allocation to meet organizational goals. 25 %
Participate in the annual budget process and continuous forecasting process by developing necessary pro formas, schedules, and analysis. 10 %
Develop and deliver the Cone Health financial training curriculum using available training materials and techniques and proactively working to develop materials and techniques that meet customer needs. Training customers include ,and are not limited to, finance staff and leaders. Training curriculum includes classroom training with 20+ attendees. 10 %
Other projects and requests assigned based on departmental need. Examples include ,and are not limited to, participation in Lean Rapid Improvement Events or supporting the data and financial analysis needs of Lean; pro forma financial statement development for proposed projects and initiatives; and ad hoc financial analysis. 20 %
